GLASS

PYRAN® Platinum is a premium grade glass-ceramic designed to resist high temperature and thermal shock. The micro-floated manufacturing process makes for a colorless and smooth surface that is ideal for creating an unobstructed view and allowing the sharing of daylight, while compartmentalizing spaces keeping the flames and smoke from spreading in the event of a fire. PYRAN® Platinum glass-ceramic is available filmed or laminated to meet the safety impact code requirement CPSC 16 CFR 1201 for hazardous locations.

PYRAN® Platinum is stocked and readily available to fabricate for quick delivery. Each lite is permanently labeled to meet building code requirements for fire and impact safety.

Applications: Fire-rated applications, doors, windows and other vision areas that are non-temperature rise

Classified and labeled by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.® and Underwriters Laboratories of Canada. Test report number for labeled fire-rated assemblies is UL File No. R22036. All above tests performed in accordance with UL 9, UL 10B, UL 10C, UBC 7-2 (1997), UBC 7-4 (1997), NFPA 257, NFPA 80, ASTM E2010-01, ASTM E2074-00, ULCCAN4 S-104 and ULCCAN4 S-106.
