Village Park Wills Road
Project Description
The design aesthetic called for the exteriors of the buildings to be at least 40 percent stone or brick, and insulating glass for energy-efficiency to meet the solar heat gain requirements for this southern climate zone. Black gridwork was specified for some of the glazing to complement the farmhouse-style design. The grids are on the inside of the insulating glass unit creating the look of a true divided lite window. This is a cost-effective approach that also makes it easier to clean the glass. LoĒ³-366 offers a high visible light transmission of 65% with low reflectance ratings of 11% out and 12% in. This performance, combined with its ability to block 95% of the sun’s damaging UV rays, will serve this residential living facility well in providing energy savings and greater indoor comfort for the occupants.
