Project Description
The new Morrow High School located in Clayton County is designed to serve over 2,200 students from a
highly diverse population that represents 30 different countries. Upon completion of this project, and
having met the multiple challenges presented, Perkins&Will has elevated school design to a new level
for the state of Georgia.
AIG Atlanta fabricated 12,000 SF of monolithic tempered “safety” glass used on
the interior, as well as the SunGuard® eXtraSelective SNX 51/23 specified for the building façade. This
triple-silver neutral blue coating and UltraClear® glass substrate will deliver plenty of natural daylighting
with a 51% visible light transmission (VLT) while maintaining indoor comfort and energy efficiency with a
0.23 solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC).
