Project Description
Designed to expand arts education and to serve as a cultural gathering place for the community, the
26,900 SF Alexander High School Performing Arts Center includes an auditorium that will seat six
hundred. In addition, the AHS Performing Arts Center has an orchestra pit and large guest lobby with
ample gallery space to display student artwork. Ideal for this southern climate zone, the Bronze
SunGuard ® SNX 62/27 insulating glass units furnished by American Insulated Glass will serve the facility
well in reducing the solar heat gain coefficient (<0.26 SHGC) and reflectance (in/out) while allowing
plenty of natural daylighting into the building. This is particularly important in protecting the student
artwork from the sun’s harmful rays.
